At the Club’s meeting on 20 August members welcomed their new Honorary Member Tim Archbold. Tim is the Operation Manager for NOAH in Luton and had previously visited the Club to talk about the work of NOAH. The Club, through an initiative started by past President Dick Osborne and Barry Collett, has been keen supporters of NOAH providing many cans of soup together with sleeping bags and clothing. Tim was welcomed by President Graeme Moor who presented him with his Rotary pin and a certificate to recognise his Honorary Membership of the Rotary Club of Barton-le-Clay.

In response Tim said he was “quite blown away by the invitation, which was an honour both for himself and for the work of NOAH”.
Following his formal welcome from President Graeme, Tim was presented with a cheque for £500 by Dick Osborne, who asked that the monies be used for a specific project. In accepting the cheque Tim thanked the Club for its generous support for the work NOAH does and agreed to return at a later date to give members a report on how the money has been used.
